Authors Instructions for the
10th ISUAAAT
1) Papers must be written in English.
2) The length of papers is limited to a maximum of 12 pages in the format described below.
3) The proceedings will be published in black and white. Therefore, all figures must be black and white. Figures should be clear and legible.
4) All papers must be submitted in LaTeX format. All figures must be in encapsulated postscript (eps) or pdf format. You can find the style files we will use for the proceedings at http://www.wkap.nl/authors/bookstylefiles/latexstyles. Download the stylefiles (procl.exe for PC/Mac users or proc.tar for unix users). Authors should to the extent possible use standard LaTeX commands, and keep the number of author defined commands in their preamble to a minimum.
5) Authors will be required to submit a signed copyright release form. We are currently working with the publisher (Kluwer) on the particulars of this form, which will be sent to authors shortly and will also be available on the website. Only the Kluwer copyright form will be accepted.
6) The deadline for the final paper is August 1. When submitting your paper, please submit the following:
a. Two hardcopies of the paper.
b. Two hardcopies of the final extended abstract (for publication of the book of abstracts, which will be distributed at the conference).
c. The signed copyright form.
d. A CD containing the paper in LaTeX format, and your extended abstract. Please put the paper and abstract in separate folders identified by the family name of the first author, e.g., “smith_paper” and “smith_abstract.” The abstract need not be in Latex, but please include a pdf file of the abstract in addition to your Word or LaTeX files.
e. Mail a-d above in a single envelope to:
Loraine Ashley (ISUAAAT Papers)
Duke University
Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science
144 Hudson Hall
Durham, NC 27708-0300
7) You will be sent an email acknowledging receipt of your paper.
8) A transparency (overhead) projector and a computer projector will be available at the conference. For authors who wish to use the computer projector, electronic presentations should be prepared in powerpoint or pdf format. Please mail a CD with your presentation to Loraine Ashley (ISUAAAT Presentations) at the above address. You should mail the “presentation CD separately from the “paper CD” in time to be received at Duke one week before the conference. Alternatively, you may bring your CD with you and turn in to the registration desk at the conference.
